"Last Embrace"
You whispered to me during the last minutes of your dying breath
It was never goodbye, and this journey began with your death....
You called me The Last Poet & kissed the tears streaming down my face
Telling me I outshined everyone, & then I broke down, fell from grace
Never been alone in my life, the memories of our very last embrace
Scattered your ashes over the vast ocean & whales gathered to see
Held my head in my hands and cried, the foolish poet was always me
You had told me it was ok to love again & find peace & to sigh & breathe
I still have not found either one, at times I just want to leave.....
Beyond the haunting which was created to hurt me & take me down
See the eyes that saw too much, the king who wears the ruined frown
I released you & never realized I am lost inside & afraid to feel
At one point I thought there might be hope, but was a lie, never real
Last embrace, the moment when you grabbed my beard & gave me the final kiss
I recall the games we played, the laughs echo forever, there is so much I miss
So hear the music of the broken soul that hugged you to his chest & began to weep
You passed on into Elizium, please remember, I am eternally yours to keep

I recall watching the classic series over & over as we laughed & smiled
Those silly faces we made as we had pillow fights & the comfort we shared
In the last 2 weeks before you passed on, I heard you laugh & it hurt so bad
Because I never wanted to let go, am crying now, but wanted to let you know
Telling me it is ok to move on & find love, but I remain haunted inside
She was my child.....
And in the end, you called me a raging protective lion, gave you all you asked for
The Bear who held you in his fierce embrace & silently cried, I am so sorry.....
She was my child....
I was her best friend, her mother and father & the one who released her on the day
Never tried to replace you, I only wanted to let you know, you were the one.......
You drew pictures of smiling horses and pretty round hedgies, (May Sun)
There is never night where I don't speak to you, everyone, they call me strong
But you were the light that faded into the sun, in my heart you forever belong
And as I walk to the cliffs to visit you, hear my words & understand this song....

"Did You Know?"
From the moment your soft eyes found the soul lost deep inside
It was impossible to look away from your beauty, never once tried
The smile upon the lips of the purest innocence which found me
Looked upon the darkness & with your love I became forever free
Did you know? I was always there, never once did I let you go
Hear the requiem of the empty heart which graced me with light
Travelled the world exploring ancient sites, and I held you tight
And who knows of the research we did, it was always you and I
Hold my head in your lap & hear the the calmness & a gentle sigh
Did you know? I could not give up & so....I never said goodbye
Only we know the story of "Aztec", the memories of that beautiful horse
The animals which bowed to you & this poetic beast of course.....
The wild deer of Scotland & the whisperings winds & one fallen tear
Did you know? I speak to you every night, knowing you are near
In the heart of the one you saved, without a single doubt you knew
Called me The Last American Poet, I always have & always will love you

"Heart Of The Pagan"
Within the convictions from the soul that refused to kneel or pray
But it was nature which caused the sensitive eyes to look this way
Saw through the lies & dishonour & with trust my world was open
The tears which showed you this inner child & his story, I was broken
Heart of the Pagan & flowing words from me which were softly spoken
Some lose their way because of their selfish desires to own or rule
Called me a heathen but upon their ignorance who was the fool?
Some say they will pray for someone even though they have no religion
Such hypocrisy they chose & betraying their own clan, their decision
Heart of the Pagan, surrounded by the trees which now hold me firm
Did you think you could simply change what I was inside, will you never learn?
Promises & vows and oaths given without once seeing what this truly meant
And upon the last breath ever taken, straight to Elizium they were truly sent
Could you understand honor & the words which should stand for much more
There are those who cannot face what they have done, so they shut the door
These memories are not erased or forgotten from the breaking of one heart
Heart of the Pagan, this secret path which I have chosen from the very start....

Enthralled by the moment of beauty, so take the time to really feel
Dig that much deeper & realize the soul of the music wich makes us real
Allow yourself to connect with the emotion flowing all through you
The chills that bring about infinite love & natures nostalgic view
Become one with the tone that resonates the musical texture & flow
This is the waking of the heart & that feeling of depth we know
And as we connect with nature allowing these sounds to open our eyes
It is the soft stirring wind & a kiss which gave us hope, ignoring the lies
Surrounding the soul with the absolution of everything we hold dear
Join in as we embrace the balance factor knowing we can forget fear
Become one & utilize the inner voice which guides this sound we adore
Reaching for this promised understanding, open the revealing door
This is the way through peace & the calming of the soul that was broken & bruised
Two minds that met through music & harmony, no longer worried or confused
Take in the musical high from the deepest memory of majestic bliss & a song
The road which leads us to heavenly wonder, the songs of the heart could never be wrong

Remember the poet, so many volumes of words of praise in adoration of one
And from the pulling away & the trusting heart from all that had begun
Do you recall a glimpse of peace & happiness knowing why I came back for you
So much love shown as I exposed the soul of my world , & what you chose to do
So soft spoken but within the sadness of the titles that you chose for only me
Turned my head down & watched the tears falling, this king you chose to see
Remember the poet, such oozing romance displayed as I began to kneel
The decisions you made are yours to keep, I could never fake all that I feel
And somehow others see in me a shining light which they swear is bright & real
My world was opened up to you, the soul of the true love you needed to reveal
Remember the poet, whose face showed you a need, the heart of purest steel
Remember the poet, who walked slowly away, his words left only as an echo
Remember the poet, promises in vain ruined from everything you know
Hear the wind blowing outside as you pretend you never truly cried
Dedications given freely, from the shadow of an angel that lied
Remember the poet & the strength of the broken one who forever cried
Remember the poet, his words whispered to only you as he gently sighed

"Awaken The Visionary"
Hushed by the sounds of wind which captured memories of one kiss
Those who faded into shadows of sadness, all those that we truly miss
And volumes of poetry comprised of the weakness hidden too deep
But he cries silently into his pillow begging for love, peace & maybe sleep
Awaken the visionary & call out my name & chase the fear inside of me
Between the darker wounds which lay open for the tension you now see
Just too much history concerning the mental strain & way too much to tell
Stories from The Magus, the King of silent sorrow, my journey through hell
The burden of the sworn oaths broken & emptiness of the poets heart
Enveloped by the sadness & torment like a love letter which was ripped apart
Hear the story but keep walking the other way, I shine brighter than you could ever possibly know, the choice to just let go
Awaken the visionary, the continued break down of the heart that sighed
He displayed the weakness & gave access, this is the dreamer who finally died
Show me the way homeward where I can learn to feel the light which knew
Drowning in this remorse & hurt, recalling images on my wall of you
Give me gentle kisses upon the cheek & pull away the darkness I feel
Awaken the visionary, wishing it was all a dream, but I know it is rea

"Voices From The Lighthouse"
Four o'clock am, he left his home & began walking to the place of healing
Tell me true, was it a whispering chant or some bird song or just a hum
Feel the approaching of the pale rider, getting closer & beating his drum
Is it because you were released in that region where your soul is flying
Voices from the lighthouse, when you left I never once stopped crying
Tried to move on & learn to feel & understand just why I am still here
Sharpening his scythe & gazing through me, I am not afraid that your near
Listen closely, there is no longer a soul to take from me, the poets heart is broken
Try as hard as you might, how could you understand the words I had spoken
Voices from the lighthouse & the weak child who once kissed your face & cried
Opened up too many secrets, this is the the story of the heart that has died
Some are free from the pain & the misery of torment that came from life
Look away from the last American poet, pity the broken man who lost his wife
Hope you found your way home & realize now just what you have done.....

As the darkness enshrouded your body & divided the heart on the path
Did you feel no more pain & witness the beautiful scent reaching for you
Guiding you to the eternal walk through wildflowers which kissed at your feet
You left your body & took the journey to the blissful light of adorations embrace
Could you imagine I would be sharing the story of life you gave unto one King
Song of Elysium, and the memories of echoed laughter & all that you gave
Unfolding before you, these words which carry emotion & the only truth you know
There was never any dishonor for the one who wanted to feel & remember joy
So vulnerable & disturbed beyond all the pain a heart could take, one man
His wondering eyes which captured the essence of hope in a dream he once had
Song of Elysium & the last moment where a fluttering eye wept when you strayed
These are words from the poet who allowed you access through the door of one heart...
No, I am not like others, but you knew going in that my eyes told a deeper story
And on my travels I found much more in my research, but it stays with me.....
I hear the voices which beckon me & the calling scent & I know you are near
Song of Elysium, the remnants of a broken child swept away and forgotten....
Wishing I could accept all the titles they have given me but I am no one....
When it is my time I know you will hold me close to the bright shining sun
And I will be home, where I can rest forever & we can be as one

Beyond the whispering winds as far as the crow flies she was there
Opened the gate within Farigaig forest where the wild horse did stay
And in soft sounds the girl called to the white horse who bowed to May
Approaching without fear she hugged and kissed the horse who knew
Walking towards the Clava Cairn or was it the Knock Castle Ruin??
The white horse and the girl who had no fear, I recall her long black hair
In secret songs she sang into the ear of the horse who would find her in dreams
Her memory lost from the disease which ravaged her life, she was my wife.....
Find the white horse beyond Foyers & past old Inverlochy & call her name....
Aztec was summoned by the innocent words of the child who endured the pain
Climb upon her back & find your way home, while the breeze captures the tear
Become one with the wild horse who knew what you were deeper inside & so....
Enchanted by the beauty of the eyes that knew before the waking scent
From the moment you faded into the morning mist & I waved goodbye
Aztec carried your gentle soul because the King without a heart began to cry
I remember the day Aztec bowed to the Pagan girl who gave me her heart
Come find me when the time is near & take me home where I belong.......
